New funky bowls by Habitat

A little foodie update as its not always work and cars: these funky bowls were on offer over Xmas and they are being well used! Eating from plates is not always ideal especially with juicy foods including curries and other comfort foods. The lead photo shows a sweet chilli salmon disk, chicken gyozas, stir fry veg, and steamed broccoli.

The jerk chicken turned out well with another recipe from Ainsley. The new bowls looked smart and retained the piles of food and gravy. The subsequent chicken stock made for a rich spicy mix that worked really well with meat curries.

Always an easy way to use up leftovers and these days Lee Kum Kee chilli & garlic sauce is always a useful addition.

The original dinner plans were around the chicken and aubergine curry; these plans were expanded to include two firsts: homemade naans with a fenugreek and spring onion prawn curry. The prawn dish was easy, fragrant, and tasty!

This was another fun meal with some tropical vibes and rum at hand. Not just a side dish, the sweet mango salad complimented the roast pork. The lemon yoghurt dressing was a nice citrus addition to the crispy sweet potatoes. All in all – a good one to repeat.
