Nice new dishes & fun food

New funky bowls by Habitat A little foodie update as its not always work and cars: these funky bowls were on offer over Xmas and they are being well used! Eating from plates is not always ideal especially with juicy foods including curries and other comfort foods. The lead photo shows a sweet chilli salmon…

Bolts, WD40, and exhaust gaskets

Working with a 17 year old car plenty of WD40 is always helpful with crusty bolts! With Smarty the Yaris clearing another MoT it was time to start looking at some of the advisories including ‘slight leak from front of exhaust’. If this results in an additional boost in power there will be smiles all…

Little Rosie

A significant day today with a trip to the vets for tests. It’s gonna be a tense week waiting for the results with plenty of potential for treats and spoiling her in the meantime. Bless her little fluffy feet.

Stripped down RAV4 for export run

Space was tight & yet another car gets stripped down to become a 2 seater; we needed all the space for the run to Europe. Both rear seats safely extracted – the remote release cables were a little fiddly to release & took care not to stretch them. Close to 50kgs removed including mats, plastic…

Friday night Ramen

Yay, a very tasty result using frozen homemade chicken stock plus some Tom Yum paste and some chilli oil. Chicken, prawns, vegetables, fat Udons, & Ramen eggs made up the main ingredients. A side dish of Korean bbq beef Gyozas added to the experience – comfort food!

Sunlit meadows & gorgeous sunsets

With a quick trek across the Channel into Europe we reached our new EU branch for some trading & replenishing stocks. I cannot deny that simple evening dining and great sunsets make the effort worthwhile. The RAV4 performed brilliantly with the rear seats stripped out for extra carrying capacity and reduced weight.

East Village, NYC

Just another evening view from the roof top terrace looking North across East Village, NYC. Although it was hitting 38C out on the streets this was a sweet trip with very relaxed flying, accommodation, Fam-time, food-shopping and cooking. There were plenty of new and old cars and trucks to cause a distraction and the occasional…

The accidental ‘arms dealer’

The export of two of five decommissioned ROV’s led to Bro being interviewed extensively by the chaps in dark suits. The customs paperwork still listed the retired ROV’s as ‘weapons delivery systems’ with potential legal issues for trading without approval or licences in place. We took on number #310 for fun promotional work. It’s own…
